GECCO 2009

Franz Rothlauf is conference chair of ACM Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO 2009).

GECCO2009 is the largest international conference on evolutionary algorithm. This year, it takes place in Montreal, Canada, from July 8 until July 12.

The conference has received 531 submissions; 220 (41,4%) of them have been accepted as full papers and will be published in the conference proceedings. The proceedings are published in the ACM Digital Library. The highlights of this years conference are the evening dinner in the Montreal Science Center. Conference attendees can enjoy an international fireworks competition which is in parallel to the dinner. Invited talks are given by Demetri Terzopolous about "Artificial Life Simulation of Humans and Lower Animals:From Biomechanics to Intelligence" and by John Holland about adaptive systems.
